Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's dad came from a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was seven, her family moved to Mendocino County California. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder became an avid reading book because there was no TV. In 1983 when she was 12 Ryder joined the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was let go in 1986. Ryder, who was barely 15 years old, landed the role of a leading actress. Ryder endured bullying while in highschool. She thought that by becoming an actor, her behavior could be reduced. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. However, she pushed on with her dreams. Her biggest break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play numerous roles that were successful. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
